The California Preservation Foundation is governed by a Board of Trustees drawn from preservation professionals across the state.
Tom is Vice President - Director of Business Development for Morley Builders, a Santa Monica-based employee-owned general contractor and concrete subcontractor, with an annual volume of approximately $300 million. He joined Morley Builders in January 1997. Tom earned a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Studies from the University of Nebraska in 1982. Following a tour with the U.S. Peace Corps in Latin America, Tom has spent the majority of his career working in real estate planning, design and construction in both the public and private sectors. He has been primarily involved in institutional and residential development, including award-winning historic preservation projects. Tom serves on various business and community organizations’ boards and committees, including Executive Committee of the Urban Land Institute’s Los Angeles District Council; Board Member - Association for Preservation Technology International; Board of Directors and Past President of Habitat for Humanity; Board of Directors of the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce; Trustee Emeritus / Past Treasurer of the California Preservation Foundation; and, Past Board Member and Founding Board Treasurer of the U.S. Green Building Council – Los Angeles Chapter.
